Lucky once...but twice???

Not everyone is lucky enough to have an extraordinary person cross their path during a lifetime. I don't mean the type that you meet and fall in love with, but rather the kind that comes into your life unexpectedly and changes your life forever. I can honestly say the I have had that fortunate chance come my way not once but twice. More interesting is that they both have happened within the last 5 years. Now, I don't want you to misunderstand me, nor take offense if you know me, because I am a very fortunate person when it comes to friends and some family members....and by no means will I ever take any of them for granted nor feel that they not also have played great importance in my life. But this is the unbelievable kind.....I guess you can compare it maybe to watching Oprah.....when you see one of those shows where something is done so unbelievable for someone, and you think wow.....you feel so much happiness for them, but at the same time you think.....is this really happening...how is it possible that complete strangers make an everlasting impact on their lives....how lucky can they be??? The type of thing that you think NEVER in a lifetime would you be that lucky individual.


The first encounter was with the most wonderful Irishman that I happened to meet at a seminar. At first glance I could see that he was a very compassionate man. I introduced myself and explained my situation. He smiled and said "I am going to help you." A lot of people say that, but he really truly met what he said. I emailed him and within a few days my life started to change for the better. I don't think I will go into the entire story now, maybe I will share it later. All I can say about him is that he is the most wonderful human being I have ever met. Really and truly means what he says, and holds true to his word. He remembers EVERYTHING, which really amazes me. I wish I could share that characteristic. He is completely loved and adored by all that meet him. He continues to make wonderful changes in not just my life, but all that he meets. I believe that he really loves what he does and generally enjoys making a difference. I am so fortunate to have met Dr. Peter Crookes.


The second person who I had the great pleasure of meeting actually came into my life in a roundabout way through Dr. Crookes. The first time I met her I could feel her kindness, and compassion. Not to mention she had a great sense of style. On that alone, I knew we would hit it off. I spent many hours getting to know her and she knowing me. For the first time in my life I had the experience of really understanding me. Through her I was able to stand tall and smile and be able to say "and what??!!!" I learned to just kind of laugh things off and move forward. I was so lucky to have met Dr. Lisa Victor, an extraordinary human being. Unfortunately she passed away unexpectedly last year. I have to say the most beautiful service I have ever attended. I learned there that as special as she had made me feel, and how she touched my life....she had done with so many others. Again, as with Dr. Crookes, she touched the lives of each person that crossed paths with her. I think about her often, and smile when I remember our conversations. I carry with me all the knowledge I gained from her, and the laughter we shared.


I guess later when I write more about my life, you will come to understand really how these people entered my life and the circumstances. For me, all I know is that whatever path I was lead down, was absolutely the best one. If things had not been the way they were I would have never had such wonderful opportunities brought into my life. Thank you Dr. Crookes and Dr. Victor. I am eternally grateful for all that you have done and continue to do. My life has become so much brighter since you came into my life.


A last thought.....maybe just maybe it wasn't pure luck. It was just meant to be!!

First Blog Ever!!

For awhile I have been wanting to start a blog, but really didn't know how or what I wanted to say. So today seems to be the day that I will start sharing .....just as the title says.....whatever may come to mind I guess will be how I write....at least for now anyway. Maybe at a later date I can focus on a particular subject for now....it is just Me, Myself and I & Everything In Between. Hopefully whoever reads this will find it somewhat interesting or at least entertaining.
